Monique Saunders

Personal biography


Monique is a Certified Counselling Practitioner with a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, adopting an integrative approach with a specialisation in trauma work.  Monique is an accredited counsellor registered with NCPS.

In 2025, she graduated with a First-Class Master’s in War and Psychiatry at King’s College London, focusing on how individuals—both military personnel and civilians—prepare for and cope with psychological trauma.

Monique holds a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology (BSc Hons) and is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

She has extensive experience in trauma counselling, having volunteered for three years with New Pathways, supporting survivors of sexual assault, abuse, rape, and domestic violence.

Her additional experience includes working within a female CAMHS secure unit and supporting women in refuge settings.

Beyond her counselling expertise, Monique is a veteran of the Armed Forces and a small business owner with over 20 years of leadership and management experience as a Managing Director.
